Overview
From MCW EVENTS
In light of the alternate reality that 2020 presented, Twitch pivoted their annual conference, TwitchCon, to a virtual world, naming it GlitchCon. In a ten-week sprint, MCW Events collaborated with Twitch, and implemented the creator experience within a complex multi-channel, multi-segment production for 12 hours, drawing 6.7 million viewers. Team MCW kept more than 300+ creators engaged while hosting them through the virtual GlitchCon experience. These creators were a group of heavily followed Twitch personalities across many different backgrounds, including gameplay, the arts, music, esports, and lifestyle. While the event featured top stars, it also gave creators with smaller followings the opportunity to engage with the community and get that memorable MCW Events white-glove experience. The MCW team built relationships with these creators, ensuring their GlitchCon day of success and helped keep hundreds of thousands of viewers entertained while being stuck at home at the end of a very glitchy year.
