random Q for this group - we are looking to plan a small event for a group of executives. We are looking to do some kind of luxury experience. Has anyone done something similar that they found successful?
is it a single day event and the whole thing needs to feel like a luxury experience? Maybe a private/celebrity chef/chef's table at an exclusive restaurant? Can the event be held at a boutique hotel with spa and they all get a spa credit/treatment? Hot air balloon ride?
In addition to what Dora asked you above - what city will you be hosting this in? We usually like to tie it back to the destination because if they had to travel, let's make it worth their time. I always ask myself what does an executive like? They already receive a lot of gifts because of their role; instead let's give them an experience that you can't buy. So meeting a local celebrity chef or meeting a fellow CEO that lives in that destination is always welcomed. For example, when similar groups are hosted in Austin, it's not uncommon to try to incorporate a meet & greet or speaking from Kendra Scott or Tito's of Tito's Vodka, etc
Totally agree that something they can't buy is key!! We have a donor with a beautiful brownstone home in NYC and she hosts dinner for other donors a few times a year. Just the act of someone generously opening their home (who doesn't love to see someone else's house?) with food/passed apps from their personal chef is often a HUGE hit.
We also do virtual roundtables with a CEO, entrepreneur, politician, etc. - being able to chat with these folks in a small group setting is very valuable.
this is going to be an evening event in Chicago (post trade show). We have some restrictions with restaurants because I work for Square so they have to be a customer for us to host events there. So that is why i was leaning more towards some kind of experience
these are AMAZING ideas!!!
love the idea of a local celebrity or renting out a gorgeous home (which circumvents my restaurant issue) - thank you all!
Not sure if there is a Chicago equivalent but we recently did an event with Resident in NYC and it was amazing. https://www.meetresident.com/private-events/
@EventPlanner526 Second resident! but for Chicago we recently did a private dinner at Fabio Vivani's estate. it was amazing and the group felt like they were getting an exclusive experience. I have a few chicago experiences I can email over if you want to take a look.
ooooo amazing!!!
yes feel free to email them to me @EventPlanner180 [email hidden]
Me and @EventPlanner317 have both been lucky to get a studio tour from Dustin Yellin here in BK - I wonder if there are any famous Chicago artists that might be willing to give a tour of their studio in exchange for a donation (for NYC https://www.dustinyellin.com/)
Dustin is awesome, Pioneer Works is an amazing space. The studio next door as well
exactly, his art is amazing!
love that idea!
Looking for a loft or residential style space (not a hotel) for a 15-person VIP dinner in NYC. Ideally SoHo/downtown. Must have a useable kitchen for private chef
Hey All - I am looking for a luxury apartment to rent and host an event with ideally two bedrooms where we can host activations. So one large main area (living room) and then 2 bedrooms. Does anyone have any recommendations? Having some issues finding something ideal..
Hi all! Looking for a super high-end restaurant in NYC with a private dining room that can accommodate a dinner for about 20-25 ppl. Something in the world of a new/interesting venue with a celeb chef or Michelin star (think Ci Siamo, less Le Bernadin). Midtown would be ideal but open to other areas of Manhattan.
Does anyone have experience using Resident for events in NYC? https://www.meetresident.com/
NYC Resident Feedback - I think I remember seeing great reviews about Resident on here. Am I correct this company/experience is excellent? I’m considering them for an event and they seem like a dream for the space, food, service and cost for NYC private events. Thanks!
Hi all. I'm looking for a vendor to help create non-floral centerpieces for an event in NYC. The centerpieces will be made out of toys which are donated after the event. thanks!

There’s nothing wrong with tried and true haha just want to see if I’m missing an opportunity to use something better if it’s out there :)
Any favorite suggestions for a great rooftop + great food for a work happy hour for #50 people?
<!here>, we're kicking off this channel to be a dedicated space to support one another as event tech continues to rapidly evolve. This post on LinkedIn inspired me to ask - are you willing to share your event tech stack with the group here? It might help inspire other members to look into new solutions, or ask for your more specific advice or opinion on tech you currently use. As a reminder, we also have the #ai-for-events channel for those interested.
We are planning some private dining events in NYC and I'm curious if there are any hidden gems of event spaces or private dining rooms (Manhattan) that folks would recommend. Dinners will be about 25 people. We did the last one at Little Owl Townhouse and loved it!!

Hi Everyone, I am planning four 100-150 person events and wanting to find a vendor that can do onsite badge printing and attendee check-in. I just got a quote from cvent that seems really high ($12K per city). Does anyone have any recommendations for other companies that help with event check-in/registration with badge printing?
