Evan Christopher and Kathleen Traver were two prominent figures within the gothic and alternative communities. In all the years they had been a part of these communities there was one reoccurring theme pain. When people came to the events they hosted there was joy and happiness and elation but when the event was over, when everyone went back to their "normal" lives these emotions were gone, hidden behind the mask they wore in order to fit into society. Evan & Kat saw this pain for what it was, these beautiful unicorns were forced to hide themselves behind a false persona in order to not be judged or treated different for who they were. It was time for someone to make a change & so they did just that. They took all their knowledge of all things different, weird, abnormal and all out strange to create a space where all souls were welcome with the promise they'd never be judged for being who they were. At The Spookeasy Lounge this phrase is more than just some slogan, it is our entire being, our purpose for existing as a business. We wish to create a space where no matter who you are in the "normal" world within our walls you are welcome to be your truest self & be proud of who that person is.
