About
Suffolk’s historic Modern Theatre is the university’s cultural center located in Boston’s dynamic Theatre District. Theatre Department productions in the Modern are high-profile opportunities for student artists to be seen by the university and larger Boston community. The Modern, managed by the Theatre Department, hosts many events open to the general public, including film screenings, lectures, workshops and civic discussions. The Modern Theatre is used for events which provide an educational benefit for Suffolk University students. A guest (non-Suffolk organization) program hosted in the theatre must be sponsored by and planned with a Suffolk University academic department or administrative office. The Modern Theatre is not available for religious services, benefits and political rallies.
