Roulette Intermedium
Roulette is a non-profit performance venue located in a beautiful Art-Deco theatre in Downtown Brooklyn.
A revitalized 1928 theater in the heart of Downtown Brooklyn, Roulette features a dramatic proscenium and charming balcony, seating for up to 400, unsurpassed acoustics and sight lines, and superb production equipment. The 6,000-square-foot theater is a stunning, adaptable, and well-equipped setting for events of all types. It is conveniently located a block away from the Barclays Center and Atlantic Terminal in Downtown Brooklyn.
You will have access to all of our backline and in-house supplies including our high-end Soundsystem, ETC Ion Lighting System, digital projector with 2 projection screens, Steinway D Grand Piano, and an Engineer to run all audio-visual equipment (e.g. lighting, live music/DJ, projection screen).
Roulette is operating in accordance with guidance issued by the CDC, the NYC Department of Health, as well as state and national occupational health and safety guidance; and utilizes industry-best practices for infection control in event-based environments. The health and safety of our employees, visitors, rental clients, and their guests is our top priority. Please contact us with any questions or concerns.
The venue is conveniently located in the heart of Downtown Brooklyn’s Cultural District. It is only a few blocks away from the Atlantic Terminal and allows easy access to many trains and the Long Island Rail Road. Street parking is available in front of the venue and there are paid garages close by.
250 black cushioned chairs, 14 leather stools, 14 adjustable cocktail tables, a selection of folding tables, and a wooden bar are available in the lobby, hall, and balcony. The greenroom and lounge areas are outfitted with upholstered chairs and sofas.
Roulette is available to rent year-round.
The sound curfew for events held Monday-Saturday is 12:00 AM, and 11:00 PM for events held on Sundays.
We require a 50% non-refundable down payment of the space rental fee and a signed contract to secure the date for your event. The remaining 50% is due 30 days prior to the event. If your event is canceled within 30 days of the scheduled date, the full Space Rental Cost is forfeited.
The main level is ADA-accessible and includes an ADA-dedicated restroom.
It is the renter’s responsibility to restore the theatre to its original state, including removing all decorations, rental equipment, and general clean-up. Trash must be brought to the "Refuse Room" in Roulette's basement. If you have hired a caterer for your event, it is the caterer's responsibility to leave the kitchen and any other prep spaces clean.
Rental clients are required to either add Roulette to an existing Certificate of Insurance or purchase a one-time renter's liability policy through an online broker.
