Icahn Stadium is the signature facility of Randall’s Island Park Alliance, located on the former site of Downing Stadium. It opened on April 23, 2005, and offers stunning views of Manhattan and the FDR Drive from its location along Randall’s Island Park’s northwestern shoreline. The stadium is designed to meet the specifications of the International Amateur Athletic Federation (IAAF) for hosting various track and field events, including Olympic training and trials.
