The Alice Collective
The Alice Collective is a dynamic event space housed in a beautiful historic building in the heart of downtown Oakland.
The Alice Collective, located at 272 14th St in Oakland, is an open floor plan venue available for office happy hours, conference after parties, private parties, seated dinners, art shows, and standing cocktail receptions. The 3,600 square foot space features a full bar as well as an enclosed outdoor patio garden and rotating art display. Conveniently located blocks away from the 12th Street/Oakland City Center BART station in the heart of Downtown Oakland, the Alice Collective offers versatility for small to mid-sized events.
Full In House Food and Beverage capabilities. There is no outside beverage catering allowed at The Alice Collective. Customer’s staff or vendors may not consume alcoholic beverages while on the property during an event. Legal drinking age in the state of California is 21 years old. All guests need to provide a valid form of ID. Alcohol can be served between the hours of 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM Sunday to Thursday and 12:00 PM to 1:00 AM Friday and Saturday.
The Alice Collective will be able to provide basic Audio Visual packages. The venue has two microphones (wireless and non-wireless), house speakers, two projectors that project an image 10 feet wide and a small mixing board. If your event needs more AV support please ask for a referral.
Safety Guarantee · The AC will screen staff for symptoms of COVID-19 prior to shift. ● The AC will clean and sanitize all common surfaces prior to the rental. ● The AC staff will adhere to the Alameda County Public Health Department Local Health Orders. ● AC staff will wear a face mask from the start through completion of their shift.

The cancellation policy is as follows: ➢ Within 30 days prior to your secured date: 90% of deposit is returned to Customer ➢ Within 2 weeks prior to your event date: 50% of deposit is returned, or Customer may choose to have 90% of deposit applied as credit towards a new date within 6 months of the secured date ➢ Within 5 business days prior to your event date: Customer may choose to have 90% of deposit applied as credit towards a new date within 6-months of the secured date
Vendor load-in takes place out of either side of the front entrance, off of 14th Street. Load-in procedures will vary depending on the space(s) rented. All heavy pieces (more than 75 pounds) that use wheels to move them require Ram Board to ensure that the floors are not damaged.
Limited storage available. Please keep this in mind for your event.
The event rental area and event prep areas should be bussed for stray plates, glasses, etc. All debris and garbage should be bagged and removed from the premises. Caterers are to supply brooms, mops, and buckets. It is advisable that, for large parties, caterers supply extra trash containers. Any food or liquids on the floor should be swept or mopped up. All trash, recycling, compost (including flowers, decor, etc.) must be removed from the premises on the night of the event.
The Alice Collective requires certificates of insurance from clients, caterers, and all vendors. All caterers and vendors must also have The Alice Collective listed on the insurance certificate as additional insured with the vendor's insurance to be primary and noncontributory. All insurance certificates must be received at least 2 weeks in advance of the event.
Décor and Plastic Restrictions Glitter and confetti are not permitted, as they are difficult to remove from the venue. We do not accept single use plastics and all vendors need to supply their own compostables (plates, forks, knives, spoons).
