Montreal Botanical Garden
An urban oasis, the Jardin botanique de Montréal has more than 22000 species of plants, 10 exhibition greenhouses and some 20 thematic gardens.
A Montreal flagship, recognized as one of the most important in the world, the Montreal Botanical Garden offers a colorful program all year round: events, exhibitions, activities, etc. The Garden has a collection of 20,000 taxa that include hybrid species and cultivars, including 5,300 in greenhouses. Of the 20,000 taxa, 800 species are on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) red list of threatened species. You can visit ten exhibition greenhouses, three cultural gardens, the Frédéric-Back Tree House, and more than fifteen thematic gardens spread over 75 hectares. It is also the ideal place to stock up on fresh air and beauty. Located a few minutes from downtown Montreal, very close to the Biodôme and the Olympic Park, the Montreal Botanical Garden is a true living museum that brings together plants from most regions of the globe.
