Nearly 80 years ago, Sun Valley Resort and the Sun Valley Lodge opened to acclaim. Hollywood stars, international jet-setters, global leaders, and ski enthusiasts alike quickly turned a remote outpost in Idaho into one of the country’s most beloved vacation retreats. Today, an equally bold vision is revealed with the opening of the completely renovated Sun Valley Lodge. The updated Lodge offers more spacious guest rooms ─ many doubled in size ─ for a total of 108 with modern comforts and amenities, including expansive bathrooms. Sixty-five rooms showcase fireplaces. Guest rooms have beautiful hardwood cabinetry; ultra-spacious bathrooms, carefully detailed granite floors, walls, and counter-tops. Built-in cabinet dressers go beyond guests’ expectations of resort luxury while retaining the charisma of Sun Valley’s warm, elegant setting. In addition, the Lodge features five “Celebrity Suites,” named after some of the stars who have frequented the resort over the years, including “The Marilyn Monroe Suite,” and “The Eastwood Suite” named after the Academy-Award winning director and actor Clint Eastwood.
