The Palazzo dello Sport - Roma is the Capital’s largest events venue. It was constructed as a Sports Hall for the EUR district on the basis of a project by Pierluigi Nervi and Marcello Piacentini for the 1960 Rome Olympics and is considered one of the masterpieces of Italian Rationalism. It was refurbished and returned to the city in 2003 by the ForumNet Group. ForumNet manages the venue through the company All Events, thus allowing it to be the only Italian venue to be part of the EAA (European Arenas Association),along with the Mediolanum Forum. As well as representing a fixed leg for the concerts of the leading Italian and international music stars, the PalaLottomatica regularly hosts large sporting events, shows, corporate conventions, trade fairs and competitions.
