Museo dell'Ottocento Fondazione di Persio-Pallotta

Inaugurated on 18 September 2021, the Nineteenth Century Museum preserves and makes available to the community the collection of the Di Persio spouses, who, in approximately 35 years, have collected over 260 works relating to the Neapolitan school and the Barbizon School. The building dates back to around 1925, formerly the headquarters of the Bank of Italy, then Cassa di Risparmio di Pescara and Loreto Aprutino. Having fallen into disuse for a few years, the building was purchased by the Di Persios in 2010 and entirely restored and adapted to the new function according to the most up-to-date museological criteria. As with some architecture of the same period, the building takes on a series of stylistic features taken from Renaissance and Baroque palaces.
