Drei Berge Hotel

On the side of a cliff, at an altitude of 1,638 meters, in the Alps of the Bernese Oberland, nestles a village of 400 inhabitants, whose secret has been coveted for decades by adventurers from all over the world. Situated opposite three of the four highest mountains in Switzerland, inaccessible by car and only accessible by train or cable car, lies Murren, one of the most photographed villages in the world. In 1911, British writer JRR Tolkien discovered this postcard landscape, which would become the main source of scenic inspiration for his literary masterpiece The Lord of the Rings.
