Teatre Grec
Music, theater and dance have filled the Teatre Grec de Montjuïc every summer since 1929 (with the sole exception of 1977, when the festival was not held), which today is a symbol of Barcelona's cultural life.

The outdoor scenic space that today constitutes the central stage of the Greek Festival in Barcelona was inaugurated in 1929. As explained, it was a suggestion of the landscape architect Jean Claude Nicolas Forestier, responsible for the landscaping of a large part of Montjuïc together with Nicolau Maria Rubió and Tudurí. The theater is located in an old quarry that was at one end of the Pubill estate, acquired by Barcelona City Council in 1908.
