Nestled in the heart of the Latin Quarter since 1889. The history of Paradis Latin has begun in the early 19th century. Built 500 meters from Notre Dame de Paris by Napoleon, the building was initially a theater where bourgeois and intellectuals used to mingle with merchants, workmen, and students. It was possible to meet Balzac, Alexandre Dumas, and Prosper Mérimée there. However, it is only since 1889, when Gustave Eiffel rebuilt it, that the Paradis Latin has become a place of wonder and entertainment. At present, it is impossible to imagine the French capital without Paradis Latin, a mythical Parisian cabaret whose lighthearted and burlesque spirit has endured through time.
