Night market snacks are the first impression of Taiwanese food, but the intricate and exquisite handcrafted dishes have been lost in the torrent of time. Shanhailou spent two years collecting Taiwan's delicacies and repeatedly using native Taiwanese ingredients to create the flavors remembered by the older generation. We consulted the master chefs and looked for old recipes, but we did not reject new cooking techniques. We hope to use this land to create grown ingredients the most exciting taste of Taiwanese cuisine. In 2014, Shanhailou started from the second section of Zhongshan North Road, and moved to the second section of Renai Road in 2018. The architectural style of Shanhailou adopts the romantic style of the Meiji and Taisho periods. This style is deeply influenced by the romanticism of European art. In addition to the old archways on Dihua Street and the Taishi chairs from wealthy families, it creates a retro style of the 1930s. The tableware uses Japanese Arita ware, French high-end porcelain brand LEGLE, etc. There is also a unique garden landscape. From the interior style to the selection of tableware, it is carefully crafted to show the owner's attentive hospitality.
