La Cabana Venice

La Cabaña is proud to say it has been offering a Genuine Taste of Mexico in Venice since 1963. What was once a small thatched roof hut or "cabaña" marked the beginning of the restaurant's history. Over the years, La Cabaña has flourished into a landmark restaurant in Venice, California that has remained true to its heritage. Soon after opening, the restaurant began making handmade tortillas on the premises. In fact, we were the first Mexican restaurant on the Westside to offer hand-made tortillas with its dishes. We were also one of the first to serve authentic Mexican "platillos" and continue with this tradition today. Our Carnitas for example, are prepared in the style found in Michoacan, Mexico while other dishes like our Carne Adobada, are prepared from recipes that are indigenous to the regions of Jalisco, Mexico.
