Rayo
Rayo Cocktail Bar takes as inspiration the legend of Mayahuel and tells stories through cocktails made with Premium distillates, both Mexican and international.
Legend has it that thousands of years ago, during a stormy night in lands that we now call Mexico, the Mexica goddess Mayahuel descended in the form of an agave. That night, a tremendous LIGHTNING hit the plant and caused it to release an aromatic liquid called aguamiel. This liquid fermented naturally and a drink considered for the gods was born: pulque; the same thing that was used in ceremonies, rituals and offerings. The Spanish, during the conquest, brought distillation techniques to Mexico, with which they produced drinks such as mezcal, raicilla and tequila. Rayo Cocktail Bar takes as inspiration the legend of Mayahuel and tells stories through cocktails made with Premium distillates, both Mexican and international. A look at the world without losing sight of our Mexican roots. Rayo's cocktails pair perfectly with dishes designed to be shared between diners. Our admiration for that LIGHTNING that cooked the agave is also reflected in the name and logo: a martini glass from which an agave protrudes crowned by two rays on its sides.
