Brewery Päffgen
From the beginning, a restaurant was operated in the Päffgen brewery. The menu from that time has been preserved. The dishes were as they are today - hearty regional. The "Halve Hahn" was already on the menu alongside the simple Flönz and Limburger.
Even if at the beginning of our brewery history in 1883 our brewery was by no means as important as it is today, it was a matter close to our hearts right from the start. While our main business consisted of selling draft beer - the Pittermännchen were delivered by our Köbessen on carts throughout the city center - our brewery was already serving Cologne classics such as "Krüstchen" or "Halven Hahn". If a pitter male (the name comes from the Peter and Paul feast day on June 29) was too much for you, you could use the siphon sale in the brewery. Incidentally, we still like to fill their siphons in the brewery today. Maybe that's an idea if you want to enjoy your fresh Päffgen Kölsch comfortably on the couch, but a keg is simply too big for you.
