Etihad Museum
A dynamic 21st century museum, Etihad Museum is focused on inspiring its visitors with the story of the founding of the UAE. The 25,000 m2 landmark is befittingly located at the very place where the UAE was founded in 1971.
The museum takes visitors on a unique journey, offering exhibitions, interactive programs and educational initiatives that explore the chronology of events leading up to the declaration of the UAE in 1971, with a main focus on the period between 1968 and 1974. Through interactive exhibits and educational programmes, the museum tells the story of the federation from the point of view of the country's leaders. The museum also aims to spread knowledge among visitors about the country's constitution, especially the rights and privileges it grants to UAE citizens, and their responsibilities. The museum's exhibits include materials and documents related to the events of the founding of the United Arab Emirates. The museum will also contribute, through allocating an important research and publishing program, to documenting the union's journey across the seven emirates.
