Stravaigin
Stravaigin is an award-winning Scottish restaurant, renowned for producing quality Scottish food. Located in Glasgow's West End and a stone's throw from the University Union means the busy bar upstairs attracts a varied and eclectic clientele.
Stravaigin is an old Scots word that means ‘to wander aimlessly with intent’. By daring to experiment with flavours and ingredients and creating a genuinely warm and lively place to gather, we inspire folk to wander off the beaten path for adventurous, great-tasting food and drink sourced sustainably, both globally and locally. Consistently delivering gallus food and friendly drinks from our restaurant in the West End of Glasgow since 1994. Stravaigin has long strived to encourage a policy of culinary curiosity and has been awarded the Michelin Guides Bib Gourmand in 2012, 2013 and 2014. You will find a menu that explores every corner of the earth ensuring only the freshest and most seasonal produce is used. The menu always inspires by introducing seldom experienced cuisines such as squirrel, rook, goose barnacles and rocky mountain oysters – and that’s only the beginning! It’s this creativity and curiosity that truly makes us one of the best restaurants in Scotland.
