Villa Merton
Whether private parties or company celebrations. Your celebration deserves a very special attention to detail and the utmost care in planning.
The villa in the diplomatic district was built in 1927 according to the wishes of the Jewish manufacturer, founder and politician Richard Merton for himself and his family. The industrialist was part of Frankfurt's economic elite, which thought liberally and cosmopolitanly and focused on tolerance and social equality. In 1953, Merton sold the villa to the city of Frankfurt with the stipulation that it be made a place of international understanding. This led to the founding of the Union International Club in 1956, which has since been committed to international understanding, charitable projects and the preservation of historic buildings. Since 2015, André Großfeld has been responsible for the gastronomy in the Villa Merton.
