MSI is the largest science museum in the Western hemisphere and is housed in the only remaining structure from the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition. With thousands of exhibits, artifacts and memorable moments that last a lifetime, MSI is the premier destination for unique and engaging special events – we have events down to a science.
Complimentary parking is provided for evening events in our on-site, underground ramp with easy access into the building.
Evening events can start after MSI closes to the public. MSI is open to the public daily from 9:30 a.m.to 4 p.m., with extended hours (9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.) during spring break, summer months, and the winter holidays. Special event start times are customized based on the client’s needs. Four hours of use are included in the rental based on the details of the event. MSI has wonderful private spaces for daytime meetings and events.
Event setup before the Museum closes requires prior permission. More comprehensive A/V and lighting setup may be done the night before with advance approval. Please speak with your Event Consultant if you have additional setup questions.
If you are a not-for-profit, tax exempt organization under section 501(c)(3), the Museum does offer a 10 percent discount on space rental.
