Museo Moderno
From its beginnings, the Moderno was an avant-garde museum, a true home of Argentine artists, and a space dedicated to promoting the latest productions of all artistic disciplines.
The Museum of Modern Art, in its commitment to accessibility, works to develop an inclusive experience. The museum intends to offer quality attention to the public, based on the principle of universal design, through an educational program that includes both activities designed for people with disabilities and a wide variety of integrated activities that seek to activate participation, exercise of citizenship and access to culture, enhancing the capacities of all people. The Museum of Modern Art of Buenos Aires, a public institution under the Ministry of Culture of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires, was created in April 1956 at the initiative of Rafael Squirru, its first director. From its beginnings, the Moderno was an avant-garde museum, a true home of Argentine artists, and a space dedicated to promoting the latest productions of all artistic disciplines. Today, 67 years after its foundation, the Moderno has its entire headquarters in operation after the last inauguration of the building in July 2018. Located in the traditional and emblematic neighborhood of San Telmo, the Moderno offers the possibility of holding different types of corporate events, conferences and private celebrations in some of its multiple spaces, taking advantage of its impressive infrastructure. El Moderno is a benchmark of Argentine modern and contemporary art and offers additional value for any event.
