1804 The history of the renowned theater dates back to 1804, when the Steglitz manor house was built in the classicist style. The architect of the house was Heinrich Gentz based on designs by David Gilly; Client Carl Friedrich von Beyme Around 1885 the building of today's Schlosspark Theater was built by the merchant Hans Heinrich Müller on the site of the farm wing of the so-called "Wrangelschlösschen" (Steglitz manor house) and initially used as a dance hall and restaurant. In 1921, after a renovation, the theater with 440 seats found new accommodation in this building.
