Caribbean Club
Tropical design touches & rum-based cocktails at a basement lounge popular since the 1970s. It is a small old bar specialized in cocktails & rum where a real treatment and hospitality of the city of Barcelona is offered.
Unfortunately, Caribbean Club hasn't added any spaces to their profile on The Vendry.
The “Caribbean Club” opened its doors to the public in the 1970s by Josep Lluis Marruenda, the husband of Mª Dolores Boadas, whose family ran the mythical “Boadas Cocktail Bar”. The Caribbean club was born from the sensations of Don José, fond of reading the adventures of Jules Verne, and his trips to Cuba, where he became the first distributor of Habana Club rum in Spain. Decorated with naval effects, for several years it housed in its showcases a large collection of cocktail shakers and various Cuban souvenirs, such as the authentic maracas of the singer Antonio Machín. This new venue is, from the beginning, the "little brother" of Boadas, a more private and intimate place for a specific audience. Its marine decoration suggests the relationship between rum and the sea, and when we have a cocktail, it takes us to a feeling of distant travel. The “Roneria” Caribbean Club is, without a doubt, a cosmopolitan, international space that awakens our senses and makes us more open to chatting, meeting other people and sharing a long evening.
