About
Surrounded from the beginning by art galleries, antique dealers, booksellers and printers, this small bistro was naturally intended to attract a clientele of artists and gallery owners. The café quickly became the popular meeting spot for artists and french and foreign writers, including André Breton and his circle of intellectuals. In 1950, the name of La Palette was already assigned to this little café.
