Montesacro Brooklyn
Located in the lively neighborhood of Williamsburg, Montesacro introduces Pinsa and pays homage to Roman culinary traditions.
A hardscrabble working-class quarter, Montesacro is the name of a neighborhood in Rome, which like many others were affected by the aftermath of the World War II. Today, we pay homage to the people of Montesacro, and their beautiful culinary traditions. We take inspiration from the classic "fraschette" of Lazio, old taverns where they only served the famous wine of the region, usually poured straight from the barrel, and patrons sat down on benches along long wooden tables.
