J&J Smokehouse BBQ is conveniently located in Catskill, NY at the end of historic Main Street, at the bottom of the bridge into Jefferson Heights and 1.5 miles from Exit 21 off the New York State Thruway. Jim and Jill are a long standing part of Columbia and Greene Counties and share the values, tastes and flavors that the Hudson Valley has to offer. The amenities of the Hudson Valley’s history and the destinations that bring in tourists and encourage locals to stay and make this their home are the result of someone wanting something that they could not get so they started the business. As a result businesses have grown, thrived and evolved. In our case, Jim almost always has a hankering for fabulous tasting dry rubbed, slow smoked meats and all the home made side dishes that compliment those meats – most of the time he ends up cooking, as what he’s looking for isn’t readily available. An idea was born, and here we are. From our family to yours – we hope you enjoy!
