In 2016 a couple of erstwhile bartenders who got tired of searching for their idea of paradise decided to just build it. With some driftwood a few power tools, the furnishings of a cannibalized home tiki bar and the willingness to max out a few credit cards they set about transforming this little corner at 12th & U into the tiki escape they felt DC was missing.
