We’re passionate about downtown Abi and the people that make it so special. The Local was established November 2019 in the height of growth for Downtown Abilene. Owners Justin and Alex Russell decided to create a restaurant in the heart of Downtown Abilene, with a goal to add more flare and diversity to the downtown experience. They teamed up with fellow Abilene native Chef Cody Enriquez to present an unforgettable dining experience. An elevated take on contemporary Mexican cuisine and cocktails combined with superior customer service is where The Local strives. The Local is serving contemporary Mexican food and cocktails in the heart of Downtown Abilene, TX.
