Auburn Hills Community Center
The City of Auburn Hills Community Center serves as a focal point for community activities, programs and special events sponsored by the city.
June 1, 1989, was the first day of the City of Auburn Hills Recreation & Senior Program, funded and operated by the City through a contracted arrangement with Avondale Schools Community Education program. On January 1, 1993, the City of Auburn Hills officially adopted the program, and two new departments were added to the city operations, Recreation and Senior Citizens. Today, these programs are flourishing in the community and are known as Parks & Recreation and Senior Services respectively, always working together from the start and both housed in the Auburn Hills Community Center.
