Capital Turnaround
A new face on the 1800's car barn at the intersection of Capitol Hill, Navy Yard, and the Capitol Riverfront!
From 1891 to 1962, the Navy Yard Car Barn was the last stop on the red line – the turnaround. The car barn mechanics got the city of D.C. where it needed to go. They cleaned cars, made routine repairs, and re-routed streetcars all across the city. Deriving inspiration from history, the Navy Yard Car Barn was reborn into the Capital Turnaround. Its rustic, exposed brick aesthetic, industrial high ceilings and technology offerings make it the ideal space to host customized weddings, social and corporate events. The main event space has a versatile open floor plan – a blank canvas that allows our clients to be creative and execute their vision in this beautifully designed architectural space.
