The Waterworks Museum
Architecture, Engineering, Public Health, Social History - it's all here at the Waterworks Museum!
The Waterworks Museum is a unique venue located in Boston, Massachusetts by Chestnut Hill Reservoir. Just a half a mile from Cleveland Circle, this museum is perfect for a group looking for a historic yet elegant atmosphere. Gilded Age architecture and cathedral ceilings offer a unique backdrop for your event, whether on the front steps or inside next to one of the spectacular Titanic-era marvels at this intriguing, historic, nonprofit museum. And no decorations are needed! As dramatically steampunk and dazzling as any sci-fi movie set, the Great Engines Hall hosts events next to pumps that soar three stories high and look like gleaming modern sculptures. Just above the Hall, guests can get a bird's-eye view of this fantastic machinery from the Overlook Gallery, a brilliant space for a cocktail/dinner reception. The photo ops here are like nowhere else. You can pose on one of those magical engines, or on the cool spiral staircase that connects two engine levels. Take your first look shots beneath the huge arch at the entrance, or choose a water background in front of the reservoir across the street.
