The USS Potomac was originally built in 1934 as the Coast Guard cutter Electra. She was renamed and converted to the Presidential Yacht Potomac by President Franklin D. Roosevelt as a navy vessel in 1936. Today, beautifully restored, the Potomac is an active part of the San Francisco bay scene and one of the most remarkable and scenic wedding venues in the Bay Area.
