New York-based creative production agency Sun-ny Side Up tapped Stoelt Productions to design, fabricate, and produce the 2021 Instagram Met Gala Experience at the iconic 10,000 sq. ft. Mark Hotel penthouse.
This three-part series included a war room for IG executives, a Livestream red carpet viewing party for IG Creators, including shoppable closets, content moments at every corner, and a custom fabricated Reels booth.
Stoelt designed the Reels Experience anchored by 8’ W x 8’ T x 4’ W soundproof Reel's Booth, comprised of 11 sections and a custom microsite. Creators scanned a QR code directing them to the online experience that featured live images from the red carpet and also past iconic Met Gala red carpet images for content creation.
Stoelt also handled the technical components, including lighting, sound reinforcement, and integrating six massive flatscreens. In addition, working with the in-house engineering and IT teams, Stoelt live-streamed The Mark Hotel Met Gala departures and the vouge dot com live feed on the ten existing and six supplemental video screens throughout the penthouse.
