Every year, Bloomingdale’s brings the festive spirit to their flagship 59th street store during the holiday season. Due to the global pandemic, we had to come up with creative solutions to engage consumers in holiday activations while keeping social distancing and health and safety measures top of mind. 1. In order to draw attention to one of the newest restaurants located within Bloomingdale’s we designed and fabricated a take-out window that would allow for a low-contact interaction. This happy hour activation also displayed a variety of different Bloomingdale’s gifts that were part of the promotion. 2. In order to add extra flair to the exterior visual of gift giving, we built a custom gift wrapping station at the 59th street store. In addition to the build out, a custom app was developed that allowed consumers who spent $100 anywhere in the store, to upload a photo from their smartphone to have printed on their choice of custom designed wrapping paper. 3. To bring Barefoot Dreams Malibu vibes to life during winter in NYC we created a Christmas palm tree lot - a southern California take on the traditional way New Yorkers get their Christmas trees! Located on a custom built trailer right outside the carousel, the palm tree lot hosted tons of palms in a variety of sizes that were decorated with beachy ornaments and lit up in warm tones. Customers who spent $100 inside the carousel were able to take home a small palm tree and a variety of the beach themed ornaments.
