The Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies’ Annual Gala honored a leader who focuses on issues confronting people of color and serves as a catalyst for policy initiatives. The Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies commemorates innovative elected and appointed officials who have a positive impact on communities of color. At its 2014 gala, it honored Senator Cory Booker for his dynamic and engaging approach to governance. The “Ideas. Solutions.
