Apartment Therapy (ATM) wanted an immersive experience to showcase Glade’s Holiday candles while providing the hosting tips ATM is known for. Hunters Point proposed an intimate 2-day event capable of trafficking over 800 to bring to life the candle creative while ATM embedded the rooms of the Arlo Soho with hosting hints. A workshop on personalized designs utilized Glade brand ambassador Emily Schuman of Cupcakes + Cashmere and provide a holiday shopping kick off by offering the candles for sale on site.
With great venue relationships, Hunters Point secured the Arlo Soho to transform the second floor. Two event days with 18 pre-registered sessions sold out in just over 2 weeks, entitling attendees to explore three designed rooms including product display, table top styling and floor to ceiling 3D paper art by Brooklyn-based artist Teresa Brown. The experience culminated with a workshop that supplied each guest with craft kits, gift bags and tags to make their own inspired wrapping. Through strategic engagement, the power of the senses, and despite receiving a complimentary candle, guests felt compelled to act: purchasing additional candles, resulting in 80% of the entire inventory selling out.
