Hi everyone! Would love some recommendations on sustainable/eco-friendly alternatives to lanyards and name badges. I've seen some badges made of seed paper and lanyards made of recycled plastic bottles but feel like the options out there are limited. Our badge vendor's eco-badges are "recycleable" but i'm looking for something that's made from recycled materials or biodegradable that still looks polished. I'm also looking for a more sustainable or eco friendly version of the typical avery 3x4 badges. We try to collect badges at the end of events and reuse the plastic slips, but I'd love to eliminate the use of plastic all together while still having the option to brand the badge.
@EventPlanner388 here's a few options that could work as well: https://www.earthlygoods.com/seed-paper-name-tags.html
@EventPlanner388 - PC name tag has eco friendly badges. I received one at an event yesterday and it was nice.

I've been on the hunt for this exact thing. My preference is to use heavy laminates or metal badges with clear labels for name/title/company - so that they can be reused (Arnett has great options https://www.arnettcredentials.com/products/metal-badges), but we are likely going to go with the PC Nametag TEMP badges that are thick paper with adhesive that sticks together and is sturdy enough to not use a badge holder/sleeve: https://www.pcnametag.com/4-x-3-temp-badge-adhesive-paper-name-tag-insert-imprinted-pack-of-50-inserts-ntebai.html
I do love the seeded paper though - but I'm not sure they would work internationally, which are the events I'm working on now.
I've seen some printed on very thin bamboo or other wood. I haven't been able to find a vendor who can do this but would love a contact if anyone knows a team that can make it happen

Hey guys! I’m looking for smaller venues in LA for a corporate networking event. It’s an afternoon event with presentations followed by a cocktail hour. I think the capacity should be for 50-100 ppl. The client tends to like trendy, colorful and out of the ordinary venues rather than hotel conference rooms. In-House AV setup is a plus. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance! 😊

Hello, all! I'm looking for recommendations for a cool space in Los Angeles venue (Hollywood, WeHo, Culver City, DTLA, Mid-City) to host a networking reception (100-150 ppl). Preferably a venue has both indoor and outdoor space. The place that was used pre-pandemic is now closed so it would be great to find something similar. https://www.theparlorhollywood.com/

LA question — does anyone know of any conference centers in LA that are good for events (with breakout space) — kind of like Convene in New York? I am not familiar w/ any, but I thought those of you who are LA based might have some ideas. Looking for some other venue ideas (beyond hotels) for a program that requires breakout space, in addition to general session + meals. Neuehouse’s breakout space is a little too small. Want to make sure I haven’t left any stones unturned.
Looking for an affordable florist for a dinner - part of a sales kick off in LA. The event is at the JW Marriott LA Live. Not a huge budget - $6K.
