Can anyone recommend an alternative to Eventbrite, now that they've changed their pricing structure? I host a range of small community events- larger corporate parties, but typically not exceeding over 350ppl. Thanks!
try Accelevents, they have a great reg widget and their prices should be lower than Eventbrite as far as I know.
I love using RSVPify!
Any recommends for a free ticketing platform similar to eventbrite that charges less than EBs fees?
<!here>, we're kicking off this channel to be a dedicated space to support one another as event tech continues to rapidly evolve. This post on LinkedIn inspired me to ask - are you willing to share your event tech stack with the group here? It might help inspire other members to look into new solutions, or ask for your more specific advice or opinion on tech you currently use. As a reminder, we also have the #ai-for-events channel for those interested.
Hi All! Wondering if anyone uses Bizzabo for webinars & virtual events? I have not had hands-on experience with it, but my company 1) has it as a hold-over from a large user conference and 2) needs an upgraded webinar/virtual events platform (currently using Zoom). We are 95% certain we will resign, and will be hosting some test webinars next week, but I would love to hear feedback on Bizzabo's webinar/virtual event features from any current users. Thank you!
Hi everyone. Anyone use Eventbrite for free events? I see they're changing their pricing packages, but it's unclear if that is applicable to events that do not charge attendees anything. thanks!
hi friends! looking for a solid event app vendor and appreciate any leads!! thank you and grateful for this group of pros!!
Hi everyone! What is your favorite ticketing/registration tool? If it’s not a full on event platform and if it’s not Eventbrite, what’s yoru choice? (paid/unpaid)
Curious if anyone has done a multi-breakout, multi-session event on a platform you loved. Does that even exist? I’m managing 80 sessions over 3 days in 6 different breakouts. We decided against one platform because they couldn’t produce a solid reference for someone who had done this large of an event and there were issues with the RTMP flow. The platform we are using has some nuances, especially on the production side that aren’t the best.
So what have you used that you like?
What: ZapConnect - Zapier's Annual Virtual User Conference
Who: 8,000+ Zapier users
When: Thursday, Sept 28
Where: Online at zapconnect.com
Ticket Price: Free!
What went well:
• We well surpassed our attendee targets 📈
• Broadly speaking, there were no major streaming issues, attendee login issues, or major tech concerns that could impact the user experience.
• We're seeing higher than expected on demand traction, and received positive feedback on the content this year. 👏
• The production value for our videos has dramatically improved YOY, with this year being the best yet.
For next year:
• Live content: we had multiple redundancies in place in case of an outage, speaker not showing up, etc. Thankfully, we didn't have to use most of it! We did have 1 live stream buffer a bit right at the end of their session and were able to quickly load up the backup video to ensure the on demand version was crisp. We put a lot of effort into our contingency plans, and I'll do it all over again next year!
• Networking: We partnered with our event tech provider to create a brand new, user-generated networking feature in the form of "lounge discussions." This was a late add with little time to fine tune or promote it. Next year, with more runway, I hope we can take learnings from this year on how our attendees want to connect, enhance the tech offering and build stronger messaging that nurture folks towards using these more effectively.
• Support: the events team is currently fielding most week-of attendee questions. Thankfully, we've made logging in fairly intuitive; however, our process no longer fits our size. We have to do some digging into better systems and resourcing to help keep our team focused on the rest of the event and not support issues.
Hello Event Planners, I would like to know who is using a trade show/event planning software program. What it is the program you are using? Does anyone share the program internationally with employees. How do you like the program that you are using. Thank you in advance for any feedback.
does anyone have rough pricing for eventbrites 400+ guest registration site? need a solution that will act as my reg page plus generate unique QR codes for each guest....400-500 guests
hi! a client needs some sort of platform/tech to send out individual QR codes to all of them to act as their event "ticket" day of. Any recommendations for something so simple that doesn't cost a fortune? We want to be able to track who came vs. who didn't using these individually distributed QR codes.
Anyone have a favorite webinar platform- open to whether you produced or were an attendee? We are looking to onboard one in our next fiscal year and I would love opinions. Looking at On24, Splash, Zoom events, Go to Webinar, Bizzaboo.
Curious to hear from virtual event planners. Have you tested the pros/cons of leaving 5 minute breaks between sessions? If you did, did you see drop off throughout the day?
Hey guys! I’m once again in search of a private dining room for 20 ppl in NYC (Preferably Manhattan). The client is super late with the booking and looking for a trendy, upscalish restaurant (it can be a classic too) to take their clients for a private executive dinner in early December. We have checked the availability and suggested:
-Locanda Verde
-Le Bernardin
-Manhatta
-Don Angie
-Cote
-Gramercy Tavern
-Morandi
-Avra Madison
Open to any ideas and suggestions so thanks in advance! 😊
Hi all! I’m looking for a venue in NYC that will hold up to 250 people theatre style. I did this at spring studios last year which was obviously gorgeous but had to bring in own stage, chairs, etc. Looking for something more turnkey yet still well known. Let me know if you can help! :)
We are planning some private dining events in NYC and I'm curious if there are any hidden gems of event spaces or private dining rooms (Manhattan) that folks would recommend. Dinners will be about 25 people. We did the last one at Little Owl Townhouse and loved it!!
Hey everyone! I'm having the hardest time finding good non-hotel venues in NY for May for ~120 people (meet/feed). Any good and affordable recommendations?
Hi all! Looking for a super high-end restaurant in NYC with a private dining room that can accommodate a dinner for about 20-25 ppl. Something in the world of a new/interesting venue with a celeb chef or Michelin star (think Ci Siamo, less Le Bernadin). Midtown would be ideal but open to other areas of Manhattan.
Hi NYC event peeps, I’m looking for reco’s for a venue to host a one-day conference that can fit 1,000-2,000 attendees for a keynote, and 4 breakout sessions. Ideally in Manhattan. Obviously we’ve looked at usual suspects like Javits, Marquis, Hilton Midtown, Sheraton Times Sq, Manhattan Center, and Lincoln Center. Any other great candidates I’m missing?
I'm looking for a great #NYC (Manhattan) venue for a business conference. The space needs to have: (1) a general session room with stage that can comfortably hold between 200-250 people in classroom- or half-round table format; (2) at least two additional breakout rooms that can hold at least 50 people each in classroom or half-round format, and (3) vendor / sponsor space where they can set up tables and network. The event will be held in late September or early to mid October 2024 for 2 consecutive days (not including a Monday). Might you have an easy way to find options?
Hi colleagues - I'm looking to do a screening for about 150-ish ppl on 11/2 in NYC - in the evening. (This is all last-minute.) I'm looking into a few spaces, but would love to hear from you on what spaces you recommend.
Looking for a venue that can accommodate the following flow:
• A VIP reception (w/ drinks & hors d'oeuvres ) for 40-50 ppl, 40 mins prior to the general call-time
• Screening area would open at the general call-time and wld have drinks and food for the rest of the guests that arrive
• Once we have critical mass in the screening area we'll begin to intro the film and show it
• After the screening well do a talk-back/ Q&A with folx from the film
• Event ends
Thanks all!
Hi again! 👋 I am curious if anyone has any NY based restaurants or caterers they'd recommend that are women owned? We are looking to feature 1-2 restaurants/businesses at a happy hour next Thursday for about 60-70 people inclusive of all major dietary restrictions (gluten free, vegan, etc.) Thanks in advance!
Hi everyone !! I’m hoping to find an exclusive and difficult to get into restaurant to host 15-20 clients in NYC. We’ve already done The Polo Bar. Any other recommendations? If you also have a similar style rec for Dallas, Ill take that too :). Thanks!
Looking for a venue that can fit cocktails for 300, a theater style program with stage for 450 and a dinner for 30. Not looking for large hotels. Have pricing for Convene. Any ideas to host a good program.
Hi everyone! Does anyone have a fun/cool vibe restaurant or rooftop they recommend in midtown?
