Hi! Any recs for a NYC bar (around Chelsea - Midtown) for a 150 person cocktail reception? Looking for upscale, warm, and private - in house AV is a plus!
HERE is an option that is a little bit different. It is technically a co working space but beautiful spaces for private events and I believe they have in house support (AV, catering, etc). Check it out
Love NeueHouse! I think we’re looking for more of a happy hour, networking reception vibe though
Dear Irving on Hudson is awesome! It is Times Square area, the views are great with a cool vibe and great service!
Hello, we have an in-house AV system. The max at our Midtown/UES space is 100p
@EventPlanner6381 our cocktail cafe hosts many corporate happy hour / networking events

Hi all! Looking for recommendations for NYC rooftop venues that feel sexy and sleek with a "the place to be" vibe - but are not hotel rooftops (or at the very least, have a separate entrance to the venue vs the hotel); about 100-150 guests. Thanks!
Hello again, all! Has anyone done an event at Dear Irving in NY? We are sourcing a venue for my org's 30th anniversary cocktail reception and looking for something unique. Would love to hear thoughts. Keeping it close-ish to Midtown is a priority for this demographic. Thanks!
Hi all! Has anyone done an event at Dear Irving on Hudson? My org turns 30 in 2024 and we are looking for a spectacular venue for a cocktail party to celebrate. Considering Manhatta, too, but founder has some concerns it is too far from Midtown. Open to other suggestions!!!
Hi friends, looking for a stylish/cool space for events in a few cities in the US:
• NYC
• Chicago
• Austin
• Los Angeles
Hosting a meet-up with 100pax in each city. Food and Drinks + Tech included. Any recommendations?
Favorite casual/fun dinner spots for #30 in NYC - please let me know any of your favorite spots for a large group that would be fun for those visiting from across the US. Thanks!
What are your favorite restaurants in nyc/nomad? Need a reservation for the end of this month for an executive group but on the casual side.
Hello, all. I’m taking about 25 female executives from Boston to NYC to meet their executive community counterparts for two days of fun and connections. These women know each other through an online community but may or may not have met in person yet. We have some receptions and meetups scheduled, but I am also interested in an intimate dinner location that I can work with to craft the ideal dining experience, with beautiful decor/an all-inclusive curated menu, in a unique setting. I would love two recommendations: 1. Favorite 4-5 star hotels in Flatiron District with a contact name 2. Restaurant recommendation for dinner for 30. This is not a sponsored event, so the ladies will all be paying on their own; as a member of the Community, I am looking to build in some structure! Welcome your expertise!
Hello Friends! Any favorite midtown or UES event spaces that can fit 100 guests? Thank you!
Hi there - wondering if anyone has a few favorite spots in NYC that can do ~20 people at one table?
Does anyone have recommendations for (relatively) affordable restaurants in Brooklyn NY that could accommodate a group of 25-30 people for brunch? Looking to book for a bridal shower and am coming up short.
Hi all! I’m looking for a venue in NYC that will hold up to 250 people theatre style. I did this at spring studios last year which was obviously gorgeous but had to bring in own stage, chairs, etc. Looking for something more turnkey yet still well known. Let me know if you can help! :)
What: Team Happy Hour
Where: Dear Irving on Hudson (NYC)
When: August 2023
Who: 60 team members
What went well: stunning space with spectacular skyline views. Roman, their events manager, is great to work with. Great food too.
For next time: it is located in the Times Square and I always worry about the hassle anyone has walking through there, but worth it!
Hey guys! I’m once again in search of a private dining room for 20 ppl in NYC (Preferably Manhattan). The client is super late with the booking and looking for a trendy, upscalish restaurant (it can be a classic too) to take their clients for a private executive dinner in early December. We have checked the availability and suggested:
-Locanda Verde
-Le Bernardin
-Manhatta
-Don Angie
-Cote
-Gramercy Tavern
-Morandi
-Avra Madison
Open to any ideas and suggestions so thanks in advance! 😊
Hey! Can anyone think of a space that would work for a half day event with presentations and a mini exhibition for about 50 ppl? Preferably a venue that would have a lobby area for the exhibition and a presentation room with AV tech inhouse (not a huge budget). This is for May 2024 and a side event for NYCxDesign 2024. There’s been initial talks of Williamsburg as a location but it could be in Manhattan too. Happy to hear any suggestions for exciting venues so thanks in advance!

Planning an event for a client, October 18 in NYC and looking for a space for about 50-70 people.
Does anyone know someone who may have a space available?
NYC friends: I’m hosting a VC annual investor day at Neuehouse oand looking for an addt happy hour venue in Midtown for 55-60 guests on Oct 24🗽 The vibe we’re going for is swanky, non-corporate with options to bring a “food design” caterer + photobooth. Sample venues we’ve looked at: The Ned, Maxwell Social, Fotografiska, Rare Book Room @ the Strand. Thank you!
Hi all! Our company is looking to host an event in NYC (Manhattan) in October, does anyone have any good locations to host around 80 people. Looking for an event space, no hotels or restaurants
Hi everyone!
I have a friend looking for venue ideas in NYC for a creative offsite for 80 people, the CEO does not want anything that feels like an office setting.
It’s a startup so budget is a constraint but we have flex.
I’d so appreciate your expert help if you have a few mins! Thank you!
Hi everyone, I’m looking for a private room at a bar (in Manhattan) to host an event for a non profit I’m part of.
Details:
Very low budget-like $1500 (food not necessary)
Approx 60-75 ppl.
Date tbd but tues-thurs
We'd likely do either open bar for an hour/drink tickets and then cash bar for remainder.
The non profit benefits a cause within the Jewish community, so bonus if owner of bar supports said community, as I may be able to negotiate a bit easier due to vested interest in potential support of non profit mission.
Thank you in advance for any leads!
Hi colleagues - I'm looking to do a screening for about 150-ish ppl on 11/2 in NYC - in the evening. (This is all last-minute.) I'm looking into a few spaces, but would love to hear from you on what spaces you recommend.
Looking for a venue that can accommodate the following flow:
• A VIP reception (w/ drinks & hors d'oeuvres ) for 40-50 ppl, 40 mins prior to the general call-time
• Screening area would open at the general call-time and wld have drinks and food for the rest of the guests that arrive
• Once we have critical mass in the screening area we'll begin to intro the film and show it
• After the screening well do a talk-back/ Q&A with folx from the film
• Event ends
Thanks all!
Hi all. I'm looking for a vendor to help create non-floral centerpieces for an event in NYC. The centerpieces will be made out of toys which are donated after the event. thanks!
Hi everyone !! I’m hoping to find an exclusive and difficult to get into restaurant to host 15-20 clients in NYC. We’ve already done The Polo Bar. Any other recommendations? If you also have a similar style rec for Dallas, Ill take that too :). Thanks!
Has anyone used a live scribe in New York? I'm looking for something like Scriberia but based in New York / the states more broadly.
I’m working on putting together a template for the team to show to leadership with where we want to show up, investment level, type of event, past KPIs, and any other relevant information.. does anyone have recs on how to do this outside of excel? There’s nothing wrong with tried and true haha just want to see if I’m missing an opportunity to use something better if it’s out there :)
Any favorite suggestions for a great rooftop + great food for a work happy hour for #50 people?
