Overview
The John Cage & Merce Cunningham Studio has expansive windows with southern and western exposure. BAC studios are equipped with a rehearsal sound system and have vinyl dance floors on sprung, basket weave, hardwood floors. The studio has permanent floor mounted wooden ballet barres along two sides of the space. The studio windows can be fully masked by utilizing motorized blackout shades or darkened by lowering the scrim sunshades. The studio is equipped with mirrors along the 43’ eastern wall. *Portable barres may be requested, subject to availability. Ideal for: Showings, Rehearsals, Conferences + Meetings, Events and Photo + Film Shoots. The John Cage & Merce Cunningham Studio is named in honor of John Cage and Merce Cunningham’s contributions to contemporary 20th century art and culture.
