In 1998, EWP Artistic Director Tim Dang led the company’s move from a 99-seat Equity Waiver “black box” theatre into a new 230-seat venue, the David Henry Hwang Theatre, housed within the historic Union Center for the Arts in downtown Los Angeles’ Little Tokyo district. The DHH Theatre offers tiered seating with outstanding visibility from any seat in the house. The state-of-the-art theatre is equipped with advanced sound and lighting technology, managed by a professional tech and operations crew. In addition to the professional Produced entertainment, the Theatre also rents its facility and hosts many special events and performances for its community members and performing arts organizations each year
