Joseph’s, recently renovated to add an elegant full service bar, is situated on the Club's upper level. The extraordinary carved oak paneling was created in the style of Robert Adams who was England’s premier architect in the late 1700s, about the same time as the construction of the Club's main building. It features figures found in artifacts discovered in Pompeii, including mythical animals, cherubs, satyrs, serpents, horses and mermaids. The room also features fishing vessel figureheads, framing a leaded glass demi-lune that was originally a feature of J.P. Morgan’s private office in New York, more items of the collection can be found throughout the Club. This room is ideal for large dinner parties, cocktail receptions, awards ceremonies, calm fundraisers, and meal-oriented business functions.
