The Main Dining Room (MDR) is a grand room with exquisite views ideal for galas and large gatherings. The grandeur of the room is exhibited by its fifteen foot tall windows, two original fireplaces, trophies and the portraits of many important dignitaries and former Club Members. This room opened in 1915, the centerpiece of the Club’s expansion that year, also by architects McKim Mead & White. It is embellished with Harvard insignia, and a beautiful plaster ceiling.
