Black Box Theatre

The Black Box Theatre is a 200-seat venue located on the north side of the Performing Arts Center. It provides an intimate setting for all performing artists, including poets, musicians, dancers, and theatre events. The theatre is specially designed with flexible seating configurations, allowing for traditional, three-quarter, or in-the-round seating as required by the production. The walls are adorned with black acoustic diffuser panels, creating a visually appealing atmosphere. Additionally, the theatre features a catwalk grid circling the ceiling, which facilitates theater lighting equipment, ceiling adjustments, and maintenance. This versatile space also serves educational purposes, as the lighting and sound booth can be utilized as a classroom for training in lighting and sound design.
