The Boardroom

The Boardroom is one of the hotel's most historic rooms. It has a unique, exclusive interior design and suits well for intimate dining or important meetings. The room looks like it originally did when the officials of the coal mining company held their meetings at Funken. Here you can imagine the directors sitting, negotiating contracts while enjoying an exquisite meal. Upon completing the agreements, they might have enjoyed a drink from the private selection of liquor only available for them. The portraits of the former managing directors decorate the walls, reminding the guests of the times when mining operations ruled little Longyearbyen.
