The Schwind Foyer is a beautifully designed space dedicated to the art form of opera. It is named after the renowned painter Moritz von Schwind and is styled in the historicism style. The hall is adorned with stone busts of composers and features Schwind's paintings depicting scenes from famous works such as Der Freischütz and Le nozze di Figaro. Additionally, visitors can admire busts of great conducting directors including Mahler, Strauss, Karajan, Böhm, and others. The adjoining loggia showcases rich ornamentation and scenes and figures from Mozart's Die Zauberflöte. Both the Schwind Foyer and the loggia were extensively restored during the 150th anniversary of the Vienna State Opera in 2019, and they now shine in new splendor. The Schwind Foyer has a length of 22.9 meters, a width of 7.9 meters, a height of 5 meters, and a total space of 180 square meters.
