The Hadwen House Garden is a beautifully-manicured outdoor venue located behind the prestigious Greek-revival mansion built in 1846 for Nantucket whaling merchant and silver retailer William Hadwen. Nestled amongst the historic mansions of Main Street, this garden is the perfect setting for elegant wedding ceremonies, garden parties, dinners, and picnics. With dimensions of 30' x 30', the garden can accommodate up to 110 guests for a seated ceremony, 130 guests for a standing ceremony, 60 guests for a seated reception, and 120 guests for a cocktail reception. Throughout the entire event, NHA staff will be present to ensure a seamless experience. The Nantucket Historical Association is dedicated to preserving and interpreting the history of Nantucket through its programs, collections, and properties, aiming to promote the island's significance and foster an appreciation of it among all audiences.
