Astor Theatre or Main Theatre

The Astor Theatre is a licensed venue featuring a flexible main theatre which can be arranged into different configurations depending on your specific requirements. The production in the Theatre is run by two specialist companies, PhaseOne Audio and Showgrinder Productions. There are 4 bars in the venue, 2 of which are located in the stalls and opened in Concert Mode only, 1 bar in the foyer, and 1 bar located on the first floor, these offer patrons a full range of drinks and theatre type snacks. The Astor Theatre can operate in three formats: Theatre Mode: Fully seated in both the stalls and on the balcony with a total capacity of 976. Stalls: 700 can be either reserved or unreserved seating) and balcony: 276 (always reserved seating). Concert Mode: General admission standing with limited unreserved seating in the stalls and reserved seating on the balcony with a total capacity of 1150. Stalls: 874 (includes 248 permanently fixed unreserved seats) and balcony: 276 (always reserved seating) Custom Mode: Partially seated in the stalls, fully seated on the balcony. Total capacity is dependent on how many seats are installed in the stalls. Stalls: 248 seats are permanently fixed, up to a further 452 removable seats can be installed. By installing less than the 452 removable seats room can be left for a dance floor and balcony: 276 (always reserved seating).
